In Search Of The Sun

Between July and August, there was going to be exactly one weekend I could go on a trip to anywhere. After not having been there for a year, I couldn't wait to take my brand new Yamaha Ténéré 700 to the French Pyrenees. Unfortunately, the weather forecast made me change plans. A fun trip nonetheless, and my first attempt at vlogging and editing!

Get The Routes

Day 1 wasn't the most exciting route, starting from home, having to go to the workshop in Vic first, and from there just getting away from the rain as quickly as possible. Once off the highway south of Lleida, it started to be very pretty. You can open the route on Google Maps by clicking here.

Day 2 started out fantastic! The area of Bajo Aragon, Valencia & Catalonia is just so beautiful, I always enjoy going there. I don't remember exactly which route I took back up north to Alcañiz to avoid the rain, but you can find the original route I had in mind here.

Day 3 was even better than Day 2! Where Bajo Aragon is dry and rocky, this part was high enough to be lush and green. It's the beginning of the Pyrenees (Pre-Pyrenees and Sub-Pyrenees) and so much fun to ride! This is the route I took.

I can't wait to make the Day 3 route part of another loop, maybe taking it the opposite direction of what I did this time around, and then from Tremp up and via Taús to La Seu d'Urgell and take a more northern road back. Or maybe next time, I'll finally make it into France again!
